well first, if your not using anything that is energy useable then, turn it off; (your bedroom light); limit use to TV, computer, etc. Then call your electrical company and ask them is there anyway possible you could save money.

Are you talking about total energy or just electricity? For total energy you would need to know the btu input/output of everything that uses energy. For electricity, total energy use is easy. Just record your meter reading each month. For specific energy use you will need to install a meter on each appliance. Some power companies make these available for use. Just call and ask.

Start a daily chart of the outside air temperature. Every utility bill shows the actual amount of electricity, gas, or gallons used during that billing period. Start comparing the outside air temperature with you actual usage. This is a very good tool for energy consveration.
