I am some one who spent 30 some years drinking, and let me just tell you, ( although you might not want to hear it) stop drinking. It kills the cells in your brain, and makes your skin and body older than what it really is at a very young age. Trust me. I'm one who is living with my past.

Ah, the hangover. There is no cure that works (except more alcohol), but I can help you next time so you DON'T get one.

The only thing I can suggest is this:

It has been my experience that a hangover is caused by 2 things (besides too much alcohol):

1.) Dehydration
2.) Vitamin B deficiency

Alcohol draws both things out of the body. So what you should do is, before a big night drinking, take a vitamin-B supplement, and also, drink water periodically throughout the night. Sure you'll have to use the restroom more but you'll be thanking yourself in the morning. It works. I haven't had a hangover since. =)

A lot of people will suggest you use some kind of painkiller, but that is the worst thing you can do! It damages your liver even worse than just alcohol when you combine it with alcohol. Also, a hangover is severe dehydration. So, to avoid it instead of cure it, drink 1 glass of room temp water for every drink you consume. Room temp, because ice cold makes your body work harder than it has to, and its already working hard on processing alcohol. Also, try to listen to your body and when it says its had enough, stop. If you do end up with a hangover, drinking something with electrolytes will help. Gatorade works, but you will get a sugar rush and probably crash. Crystal Light drink seems to be the best. but please, please, please don't take painkillers while drinking! The next morning, absolutely, but not while drinking. It's so bad for you.

I try to have a glass of water in between drinks. This cuts down the amount I drink, and keeps me hydrated (Alcohol actually dehydrates the body). I sometimes take a couple tylenol BEFORE I go to bed.

I used to have that problem. What worked for me was alka seltzer (preferably lemon-lime), get up drink it down and go back to sleep for an hour or so.

Drink plenty of water before you go to sleep. Your body is dehydrated and its for this reason your head hurts.
