If people don't want to be seen as just trying to force their views on others then all they need to do is keep their opinions to themselves unless they are asked about whatever it is they believe.Unfortunately, people need to have their beliefs reinforced by having others around them that believe as they do and so they must constantly try to get people to their side of thinking. If any view is truly worthy of belief then it doesn't need to taught by an individual. It should be able to speak for itself.

The Islamic Q’uran is NON-Contextual and relies on the Bukhari to paint its backdrops. (Top 2 most ‘holy’ Islamic books). These teachings are prevalent throughout the book.
Judge the following for yourself.
Qur’an 8:60 “Infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them.”
Bukhari:V4B52N260 “The Prophet said, ‘If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him!’”
Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends.”
Bukhari [4:52:177]: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him!"
THOUGH THE ISLAMIC ALLAH WANTS MUSLIMS TO KILL ALL NON-MUSLIMS, MANY MUSLIMS ARE NOT DOING SO AT THIS MOMENT (WITH DISAPPOINTMENT FROM THE FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAMISTS) BECAUSE THEY ARE NOW ENJOYING THEMSELVES, SOME AFRAID OF REPRISALS. DON'T THINK FOR A MOMENT THAT MUSLIMS ARE PEACEFUL. IF THEY SEEM TO BE, THEY ARE ACTUALLY NON-PRACTICING MUSLIMS.
Perhaps you think this is bullshit. But wait. Take a quick glance below of islam’s founder’s behaviour recorded in one of the most authentic Islamic texts ever recorded below and you will not think so again. Remember this, Muhammad personified the teachings of the Q’uran.
MUHAMMED HAS NO MERCY; Sahih Bukhary; and Hanbel.
Bukhary, Volume 1, Book 4, Number 234:
Bukhari, V1B4N234: "A group of people from the Oreyneh and Oqayelh tribes came to the prophet to embrace Islam, the prophet advised them to drink the urine of the camels. Later on when they killed the prophet's shepherd, the prophet seized them, gouged out their eyes, cut their hands and legs, and left them thirsty in the desert to die."
IF MUHAMMAD WAS A MURDERER, A RAPIST, A PEODPHILE, A LIAR, WHAT LESS CAN YOU EXPECT OF HIS FOLLOWERS? MUSLIMS BECOME TERRORISTS BECAUSE THATS WHAT THEY ARE MEANT TO BECOME. BECAUSE THAT IS TRUE ISLAM. WHAT IS TRUE, IS WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN, NOT WHAT PEOPLE TELL YOU AND WANT YOU TO BELIEVE.

I have told others about my faith and not converted them. They just have a better Idea and just because someone is not Christian does not mean the are damned. I have good friends now that know I am just like them and often.. to say with out saying that all are... a better friend than some of the Christians that they know.
Not all just some.

Simply present the facts and cite your sources (quoting if necessary) without relating it to what the other person believes. Lots of people will ignore the facts - but don't give up - eventually, enough people will be sharing them that it won't be possible to ignore them.
Consider how many Christians have NO clue that their God repeatedly COMMANDS his followers to hurt and kill other people throughout the Bible. They are woefully uneducated about their own religion, so it isn't surprising that they would be uneducated about yours, too.

I guess you could just clearafy that you aren't looking for any converts, you just want people to understand. Still, deep down, wouldn't you like them to convert to Islam? Don't you think it would be best for them? That may be what they're picking up. Just be honest withyourself first and then be honest with others. People will respect you for it. :-D

First of all, make sure the other person is teachable. They'll ask you questions, sincere ones, not attacking or accusing ones. Even a child's "Why are you dressed like that?" can spark it. Wait for them to ask. Don't demonize their reliigion (or lack of religion) or talk about what's wrong with others--stick to your own. Use positive statements: "We believe," not "We don't believe." Finally, make it a give-and-take--ask them questions you're curious about, or ask what they believe about a given issue: "I believe this about God, what do you believe?"

Well, when you notice a comment made about Islam that is incorrect, with respect and tactfulness, reply; My friend, I think you have misunderstood the meaning of such and such, as a Muslim let me clear up a few things.....then proceed to explain without being saying such things as this is the one true belief. Etc.

i will talk about islam
our mission in islam is not to make ppl muslim, isnot converting them, our mission simply is offering the islam and teaching them it then its up to them to be muslims or not, they have their own freewell and they can act without forcing them
u have to make non muslims understand the last fact, some of them refuse hearing to us becoz they think that we are tryig to force our beliefs on them and to make them mulims.
during teaching them islam always try to repeat on their ears that ur not forcing ur beleifes on them and if u find them donot wanna hear from u anything and if u find them donot wanna learn then its over.
May Allah help u!

If you are talking to someone and the subject comes up, you can just tell them what your beliefs are without trying to prove to them that their beliefs are wrong. Be open to listening to what their believes are if you want them to be open to listening to yours. If they don't want to hear it, don't try to force them to understand or respect you, evaluate whether or not it's worth it to continue a friendship with someone that is not willing to get to know you. If they are making offensive statements, let them know it's offensive to you and why. If they continue to be offensive, discontinue your interaction or involvement with them.
