Was told pick-up truck had air conditioning,it did not. Returned vehichle to dealership within 48 hrs. and with 156 miles on it. Dealership drove vehicle back to my home and parked it on the street outside my house. They also offered me a pic-up with air for an addtional monthly payment of 200.00 and an added year to the term of the loan. This would amount to payiny approximately $7600.00 for the air conditioning unit. This vehicle was an 8 cylinder and the one I bought was six cylinders .Also, there was no Maroney sticker on the vehicle the sold me.

Once again,how do I file a lawsuit?

Some misconceptions about deal: The truch I bought was a six cylinder not an (8), All web sites have the Silverado 1500 as having air conditioning as standard equipment. I had never bought a pickup truck before and when told the saleman what I wanted I said"a straight full size bed ,six cylinder with air conditioning" I thought that is what I was being shown, Yes, I should have looked under the hood and yes I feel stupid. I was duped and I feel defrauded. Also, I called the bank that day and mailed a registered letter to them staing I did not want the loan. Dealership insisted to them that it was a done deal(bank was Fifth,Third of Cincinnati,OH.)Dealership went as far as overnighting the registratio from a tag adency in Pa. When the original paperwork was for this transaction to be done by an agency in Maryland.???? This occured I am sure after the dealership told the bank that I had possession of the truch even though I had left it there.

Didn't you look at the truck before you bought it. Was it over the Internet?

Of course it's real easy to just blame the dealer and not put any responsibility on yourself. It's pretty hard to imagine that you made such a large purchase without clarification of what you were buying. I can't understand how you drove away with a vehicle that did not have A/C and was equipped with a six cylinder engine instead of the eight. Didn't you look the car over before driving away? Why did it take you two days to realize you were driving a six cylinder? Why did you take the vehicle without the maroney sticker? You will have a hard time proving that the dealer was fraudulent because you signed a bill of sale that states the price of the vehicle and the model. You also took physical delivery of the car and put 150 miles on it. Unless the paperwork states something different than what you received it's your word against theirs. Unfortunately you will not be able to prove the dealer knowingly deceived you. This is why the attorney won't take the case. I hate playing monday morning QB, but you should have done more homework on the different models and what equipment comes with each. It is inexcusable with all of the information available online to walk in to a car dealer and not know what you are buying.

The dealer is liable, they lied. Why won't a lawyer take the case. I am guessing it is a used as is vehicle and the guys duped you. Take it to the State attorney General's office. Inform the bank that you returned the vehicle due to this and they can pressure the dealer. Call the local TV station that handles the fraud and scam stories, they love car dealers.

You will probably have to go to small claims court and sue to have AC added to the vehicle.

But you can only do this IF you have paper work which specifically states the vehicle purchased had AC listed.
