Well, first don't put yourself down just because you're not what you think is the "ideal" type of girl. You gotta learn to love yourself and find features about yourself that you like and find ways to play them up and flaunt them!
Having a good personality goes a long way. I've fallen for people just on the fact that they were funny, sweet, and nice. I've learned (and I'm doubt I'm the only one that feels this way) that just because a person is attractive on the outside it doesn't make them attractive on the inside.
Hold your head high and show some confidence. Once I did, I noticed that I attracted more people to me. And I also find a guy who has confidence so very alluring.

It's all about self confidence. You don't have to be tall skinny blonde to attract guys, the biggest turn on for a guy is confidence.

Be yourself...there are over 3 billion males on the planet...a HUGE number of them either don't care for skinny, tall, blondes or are kewl with that and other physical characteristics as well.
Be confident in who you are...that's more appealing that a pretty face anyway.

Be nice and friendly, there is a shortage of nice people these days so being nice will for sure make a good impression and will attract the attention of the 'good guys.'

Say something witty. Try a joke.
I met a lot of beautiful girls that weren't really attractive once they opened their mouths.
The best way I find is a sense of humour, as beauty has a short shelf life.

talk to him be his friend first. don't be making fun of the tall, thin, blond typs because that will get you no where but having people not like you. be his friend, talk to him, ask him to go out as friends and then maby a little more
