donning white isn't and really not at all has been an illustration of purity. Queen Victoria is credited as being the first to placed on white and she did this to apply some lace she wanted for instance off. It became an illustration of affluence, no longer purity. you could placed on a white tux in case you pick. IMO adult men look way extra appropriate in a black tux than a white one. donning a black tux isn't a convention, it in simple terms seems nicer and extra formal.

Depending on the month of the wedding, a white tux would be nice. I got married in November and my husband wanted to wear a white tux to match my attire, but he opted for a white tux jacket and black tux pants.......it's still look very nice.....he stood out from the groomsmen and look very dashing next to me........

I wouldn't worry about it "representing you bad" it's your wedding, who cares what others think. But I would factor in the following as far as a white tux goes...does white work for his skin tone and body shape? What time of year is the wedding - Fall or Winter I'd say no (it's okay for the bride to wear a white gown in any season, but white tux brings attention in and of itself and if it's a cold weather season, it may look funny) and how will you pull the other's look into it? What will the groomsmen and bridesmaids colors be? Good luck.

White is a little 80's. It all depends what time of day and where you are getting married.
Say on a beach, wearing white would look really cool..not a tux but linen pants and shirt.
If you are getting married in the late afternoon, you definitely need to wear a black tux...that would look tight.

I personally don't like the way the white tux looks. I'd go with black.

When in doubt, pick a classic. Go for the black tux. I think white tuxes are really tacky.

So many of the decisions for planning a wedding is made by the bride simply because groom's aren't always interested in all of the aspects. But when they do have an interest in something - whether it be tuxedos, limo, cakes, etc. - I think their opinion should be respected and considered.
I would recommend the two of you compromise on this. My husband wore an ivory tuxedo jacket with black pants. He looked very nice. Not only did our pictures turn out better since we didn't blend together (I wore a white gown), but this also helped him stand out from his attendants who wore black tuxedo jackets and black pants.

WEAR A BLACK TUX !- a white tux is going to make him look like a reincarnation of Liberace and who wants to look like that on his wedding day?

It all depends on what your wedding color scheme is. I'm getting married in September and my color scheme is baby blue and white, so my fiance's tux is going to be white with a baby blue vest. His groomsmen's are wearing the black tux with the baby blue vest.
