Wheatgrass is surprisingly very healthy. I have heard a number of actresses, including Demi Moore, have been using it habitually. You can visit numerous places such as Whole Foods and have them extract the juices directly for you. If you want to research the actual health benefits, do a search for Ann Wigmore, who wrote about the benefits of wheatgrass in the 1940s. She believed it contributed to the remission of cancer, among other things.

As far as personal experience, I have taken both the "powder" form you speak of, as well as the "strained" real grass from Whole Foods markets. I have noticed improved digestive health, softer skin, more energy, and an overall feeling of well being. A recommendation though, do not over do this. Two times a day is PLENTY and make sure to eat regularly as well.

Hope this helps! =)

I've had it made fresh for me at a juice bar, but I've never seen it sold in packets. I use barley green powder and get past the strong taste by mixing it in juice - although I do lick the spoon so I don't waste any! Wheat grass is sweeter than barley green. It is a great energy booster! And a good way to get your greens.
