NOT a problem.

Hell, you can carry it in your carry-on too!!!

In fact, despite what others are telling you, you CAN use it in flight. Hell, it's fun to see what your CAR GPS says when flying on an airplane. It's fun to see the speed readout.

The only restriction would be you CAN'T use it when all the portable electronic devices are supposed to be off (below 10,000 feet). Otherwise, as long as your receiver can find the satellies in flight, GO FOR IT!!!!!!

We bought a Magellan 700 GPS (since upgraded to 760) a couple of years ago explicitly to take with us when we travel by plane. We never had any problem taking it on a plane. We take only carryon luggage and I usually put it in my backpack. However we have not flown since the liquid restrictions have been in place but I don't think the tighter restrictions would affect taking a GPS. It's a great tool when in an unfamiliar area. Don't know how we managed before!

GPS is a extensive addition to any motorized vehicle for my section. As for the possibility of it being previous it truly isn't any longer so actual. GPS makes use of one in each and every of those satellites in earths orbit to triangulate an persons place at any given time. it truly is the main precise and efficient way of doing so for this reason a ways and there is not any clean and modern-day danger of this technologies going to scrap. As for the application ingesting places ,agencies and roads listed on your unit might substitute yet updates for this application are oftentimes accessible indoors the path of the producer of the unit or indoors the path of the dealership

I don't think it would be a problem as long as you don't use it during flight.

To be safe, I'd recommend calling the airline you'll be flying. They should be able to find out for you.
