What I did:
Eat a well-balanced, calorie restricted diet of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and low-fat dairy products. Measured out each portion and counted calories using an online program.
Drank plenty of water. Did not drink my calories.
Started running. Scheduled a 5K race for myself so I had an immediate goal in mind.
Change the habits... changed my life.

if you want to lose weight, improve your health generally, and have more energy then getting some nutritional help is vital. Once your body starts to absorb the right nutrients and vitamins and protein then you’ll be amazed how quickly you will feel the difference, usually within the first 48 hours if you get the right supplements and help. I had no energy and felt just generally rotten all round so I sought the advice of a nutritional coach (whose advice was FREE) and got myself some great products, I even got free samples before I got started so I could see just how good they were!! There is a website called myhealthabc.com If go on there and fill out the details page you will get a call with no pressure about what you need. There is a mall area as well that’s got some great info and its all set out with easy to follow headings so you can find what you want. It’s so easy and the stuff they have is excellent. I have been using their products for over two years and I feel great. I lost 70 pounds in less than seven months!! My sister lost 60 pounds in five months. The stuff is amazing

Well currently I'm on the Weight Watchers program and I've actually lost weight...and it's only been 3 weeks in. I drink plenty of water a day about 2 liters. I do a brisk walk for at least 1 hour a day for 5 days a week. I try to stick to the program and I've seen a difference in my clothes thus far. I like the program because you really don't feel like you're on a diet because you don't have outline foods that you "have" to eat to stick to the diet. As long as you stay within your Daily Point allowance you're ok. You're on the right path already stick to it and don't look for immediate results even though it might just happen....stay positive and the weight will come off....believe me.

i used the south beach diet to help me change entirely the way i eat. i don't consider myself to be on a diet but rather a different me. when i crave somethin sweet i reach for a vegan cookie, no trans fat or any of that other junk. i eat my protien, veggies, and fruits. once a week i may have somethin i normally wouldn't like this past weekend my friend made me enchiladas. all things in moderation. this is a breakdown of what i do:
-eat 5 times daily
-walk/jog 5 nights a week
-work out to a dvd(slim in 6) 5 days a week
-i drink tons (over 3 liters) of water daily
i'm 5'7", when i started i was 197lbs now i'm 175lbs. i feel great about the changes i've made. heck i wish i knew sooner! good luck to you!

The Atkins diet worked best for me. I lost 20 pounds. The best thing was that I was never hungry because I always ate enough protein.
I continue to eat a low carbohydrate diet because it controls my blood sugar level without medication. Basically, I am careful not to eat large quantities of carbohydrates that are high on the glycemic scale.
I tried the fat free programs, was always hungry, and did not lose weight.

Change your life for ever. Diets never work. Initially I started to loose pounds on weight watchers and learned much from the program. I became more aware of labels, calorie intake, etc.
Good luck and remember.........you are what you eat.
