Oh I've heard it alright: I studied it for years. Book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, and line by line... looking up words in their original languages, the whole nine yards. I did truly believe in all of it at one time.

I'm an EX-Christian, I know full well what the consequences are for rejecting Jesus and the holy spirit according to the bible. I felt it was the only honorable thing to do however, because I could not in good conscious continue to serve the Christian God. I realized that if I had been an angel I would have sided with Lucifer instead of the Christian deity.

Not only have a heard it and read it along with the rest of the Bible, I have yet to meet ANYONE who hasn't heard the gospels and their message and at that, several different interpretations of those texts.

My understanding? What do you mean? What I think the message is, or what I think of the message?

There's an awful lot of debate among Christians about salvation and about various details in the gospels... I take it to mean what it says.

What I think about it is that it's fiction, so its meaning becomes a moot point to me.

Yes i have heard the Gospel according to the Bible
the good news of salvation
that God was manifest in the flesh as a baby, As Jesus Christ walked among his creation, us, taught may thing showed himself through miracles. He then went to the cross to pay for my sins, was buried in a new tomb and on the 3rd day risen from the dead, defeating the grave.

the first place salvation is preached is in Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

this is the only plan of salvation
and I have repented (where most stop)
i have been baptized in "Jesus Name" by submersion
and I have received the Holy Ghost (with evidence of speaking in tongues)

I don't know what the gospel is. I was raised a free thinker. I bet I have heard at least parts of it. But maybe not. lepsoG. That's a fun word.

I have and it is the understanding that sin has cut us off from God,thus we need Jesus to reconnect back with God so we can be in Heaven with Him.Without God we're pretty much choosing to go the lake of fire.

Oh please! Why do Christians think everyone who doesn't buy into their religion just hasn't heard about it? We've heard! We've heard!

I'd rather you not twist my words against me. So I won't say anything, and just observe

I've heard it. I've read it and believed it. You have to believe in Jesus to be saved because you are a worthless sinner but God loves you and sent his son so you could ride on his back to Heaven. That's just a synopsis.
