if your looking for a puppy you'll soon find one. There are way too many unwanted puppies out there. I understand not wanting to spend a lot when so many people just want to give them away to get rid of them. Puppies are like kids, they come with expenses. You will have a fee at the Humane society or Animal Control, but the benefits you get are more than worth it. Your puppy has been health screened, treated for any illness or parasites if needed, vaccinated, and most importantly, Spayed or Neutered.
Doing those things yourself would add up to way more than the fee, and your puppy is off to a good healthy start. With a free or cheap puppy you get the puppy and thats it. Good Luck!

Dog pound.
I got my dog at the city pound 10 years ago. She's the best dog I've ever had. DIdn't cost an arm and a leg... there was a fee, but not bunches of scrutinizing paperwork and fees like at the Humane Society.
Also, check out your local newpaper. Usually there are at least a couple of families trying to get rid of their "surprise" litter of puppies... and usually for free.
I've heard it said that mixed breeds are sturdier, healthwise, than purebreeds. I'm sure there is a mutt out there with your name on its heart!

Yup, at a safeguard. consistently a lot of little go breed canines there. My god, please do no longer flow to a petstore!!! All those domestic canines come from pup turbines raised in deplorable circumstances, and birthed by using bitches forced to get get pregnant every time they arrive into warmth for years on end. The domestic canines have not been socialized with people, are not well-being checked, and advance up in filthy little cages. never purchase an animal at a puppy keep!

Dogs can be very expensive, not their initial cost everything else. Food, bedding, toys and vet bills. Maybe you should wait until you are financially stable to have a dog. In many ways they are like taking care of a child.

Try your local humane society. They have pets of all ages generally. Sometimes, you may have a large variety of pets from small to large breeds.

if you want to be cheap when purchasing the puppy, you should rethink whether or not you will have the funds available to buy food, vet visits and anything else the dog needs!!
