so i just got a female brown/black tabby. she's beautiful and very affectionate. However, i cannot seem to come up with a name for her. I'd appreciate any suggestions.Thanks

The best thing to do is to NOT take any names from here. Watch and play w/ her for a day or 2. She will then show you her name. For example, my youngest cats name is Matrix. It fits her because she wants to conquer the world. So just watch her and see what her personality is like. That will give you the exact answer you are looking for.

I absolutely have a tabby cat named Fizzy. It became my sons decision. at the same time as he first observed her he said her coat became all fizzy stripes and the call stuck. If the cat is two years previous it really is likely were given a popularity notwithstanding.

I've had three tabby's over the year...one brown/black named Spyder [reminded me of a wood spider] and two orange tabbys - one named Boomer and the one I have now...Tony Bologna
Boomer had come to me almost grown and his name had been Boo [which I didn't like but tried something close to the sound]
Tony Bologna - his name was Tony when I adopted him and I added the Bologna because he acts like a 'Soprano'..LOL

Like Lucky Me said. Wait until you see her personality. If you do this you will get a name that is perfect for her. I did with both my kittens. My 5 month old named himself. My friend and I were throwing names out there like Smokey, Midnight and other names. Then I said is your name cupid? he meowed at me and put his belly in the air. My 3 month old kitty loves to jump and do some high flying moves so we named him Apollo.

Please not Tiger. or any other common cat names! I always watch my cats for a few days and then name them. people names have become very popular. My cat's name is Mia, My cat before her was Gracie Lou and I also had a cat named Heidi. I have a friend who named her cat Jimmy, and another friend who's husband named their cat Bill. So you come up with a name that is just her own.

aw it will come to you , it depends on the cat. when i had that problem i just named her kitty, kitty rose to be exact. my tabby is named boots but there is a story behind that, she doesnt have "boots" my other cat is magic , i think its funny when i introduce them as magic boots. hehhe.
