Do you think you may have black ancestors?
You may be totally Caucasian appearing but still have some African blood in you.
There is a white family who discovered they were descendants of Thomas Jefferson.
They weren't descendants of Martha either. Sally Hemings (His Black Slave) was their ancestor.
Only serious, mature answers please.

My DNA testing company said we all came out of Africa 20,000 - 40,000 years ago. Did you mean in historical times?
If so, yes, I have wondered. The DNA test didn't turn up any (recent) African markers. No (red) Indians, either. Some (a drop or two) Jewish, mostly northern european. I have 4th cousins who are mostly black, thanks to a ggg-Uncle who had children by four of his slave women. I suspect my gggg-grandfather had at least one child by a slave, because he uses the phrase "treat with special kindness" in his will in reference to a particular slave he is passing on.

I haven't got a smidge of African blood in me, not that it would be bad. But most of my ancestors were living in Canada and Europe when America was importing slaves. My French-Canadian ancestors worked hard to help slaves escape through Port Huron into Ontario.
I do have a lot of Dutch, though.

I am a black person, who discovered I was a decendant of Welsh imagrants located in Ill. Sorry I am not a white person, but imagine my amazement by my discovery. I ran into road block because my great grandfather was disowned by his family for marrying a black/cherokke woman, you just never know.

I believe I have black ancestors, but not African.
If you believe that black only originates in Africa, you would need to prove and show your source.
If your question is only to illustrate African influence in the white race... My answer is not relevant.

If I have African or Asian blood in me, so be it. It does not change who I am today. It is not my ancestors who are of value, but what I make of myself.

I'm a coloured man, white colour. If you believe in God you'd know that there's only one race: human race. If you don't believe in God and build your knowledge on science, you'd know that is the same. By actual knowledge all of us come from Africa and probably they were all blacks. Ciao.

If you go back far enough, we all have African ancestors.

I really don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me. I think we are probably all connected somewhere back in our early ancestry.
