Should you tell your parents that you have a myspace?

I don't think I should cause my parents are strict... what should I do?

DO u have something to hide,...well i am not a parent but i am an older sister and i monitor my sister when she uses websites like myspace she had a myspace until i deleted she is too immature to be on myspace and will very well get caught p into meeting people online which she already has and she is about to turn 15 whereas i am turning 18.

If I was you I would because there are so many perverts out there and you need to be careful using the myspace. Doesnt matter what relationship or how your parents are tell them so they know that you can gain their trust. You need to gain your parents trust so they wont be as strict as they are if they know that they can trust you and you trust them.

depends on what your doing on myspace. i had an account and a supposed "34 year old male" from two towns away keep messaging me that he was going to find me. i got scared and deleted my account

I dont see whats so wrong about it? If you hide it from them and you're not doing anything wrong, when they find out, It'll be worse. My parents know that I dont do anything wrong on the interent and that they could trust me because I dont hide anything from them—even if bad— and they pretty much leave me alone. I think that you should trust your parents so that they could trust you back. You should let them know that you dont do anything stupid or un-ethical online and that you're willing to not hide anything because you arn't doing anything wrong and willing to trust them to make a good decision.
