Ascending order?

For one of my assignments, I need to have people's last names in ascending order - would that mean A-Z or Z-A? :o)

A-Z assending
assending -means going upwards:-)

Ascending means toward the TOP or Front .
Hence that translates to the top/front is A
The bottom/back is Z.

This is a trick question most times. So I would literally write out the definition of what Ascending means to you and proceed.
