You know you have the right god when he hates all the same people you do.
And a LOT of haters have found the right god :(

Not all Christians bash homosexuals. Please don't lump us all together. One can read my own answers to questions pertaining to this very topic and can see that I don't bash gays. I don't agree with the lifestyle, and I will not apologize for my beliefs. I don't believe however, that Christians should bash anybody - gay OR straight. It is not Christlike to exhibit hate or to be unkind or rude to anyone. As Christians, we are going to speak about our beliefs, according to the guidelines that the Bible gives us. That is our prerogative, according to our beliefs. True, many Christians are intolerant, judgmental and rude in how they come across in their beliefs. God loves each & every one of us. We ALL have something that someone could judge us for. That said, God is the ONLY ONE who has the right & the authority to judge. Christ calls us to love one another. Jesus had no problem saying that something was sin. He also set the example for how we are to treat one another. As Christians, we can say our beliefs, but if we do so in a manner that is unloving, rude, unkind, direspectful and/or judgmental to someone else, then we are not behaving in a true Christian manner. Many of us do not bash gays. We Christians are also bashed a lot in these forums, so I understand how it feels to be bashed. If we all just accepted each other for who we are we would all get along quite well, I think.

For the record, we don't bash homosexuals, we speak out against homosexuality because it's an abomination to God and it destroys lives and distorts God's intention for sex. Moreover, there are many other things we speak out against, like abortion.
So while we are all God's children in a general sense, not all are God's children in a limited sense. (see John 1:12-13) And no, God NEVER meant for there to be gays, if He had He would have created Adam and Steve not Adam and Eve!
In speaking out against sexual immorality (homo, gay, lesbian, bestialism, paedo, adultery, fornication etc) we are simply agreeing with what God already declared as vile sins.
Lastly, you do not understand what "turning the other cheek" means. If you think it means to turn one's face from speaking out against sin, then you are very wrong. If you think it means to condone sin, then you are wrong. Many homosexuals and gays are hurting inside while they put up a happy facade for others to see. They need help. Will you help those in need or bash those who are helping others? But I see that you have already chosen the latter course.

Sadly, many people have trouble separating sin from the sinner. And sadly many of us see the sin in homosexuals because it's easy to see. We don't like to see the sin ourselves and it's hard to see the sin in most people, but homosexuals wear their sin. The really sad part is that they are no worse than any Christian and sin no more than any Christian or anybody else, and in some ways are more honest about it. I think the irritating part for Christians is that homosexuals sort of blatantly sin and are even sort of proud of it. To Christians who follow God's word, it would be the same as me bragging about cheating on my wife and then saying I don't plan to stop. We all know it's not right, we recognize that it's sinful, but there is no shame to it. If homosexuals admitted, I know it's wrong and I ask forgiveness from God, they would get a much different response from Christians. And maybe they already do feel bad... I don't really know so I can't really of it. I love homosexuals. And I mean that. I know God loves them even more than I do. He created them in His image, just like me. What an awesome realization! God loves me too - even though I continue to sin everyday of my life. I apologize for the way I, and others, treat homosexuals and I hope they can see the love of God work through Christians in a different way and have the same kind of heart for God that He deserves!
Be blessed.

Christians bashing homosexuals? Hmmm... and what exactly is your avatar? I see just as much if not more bashing of Christians in this forum than I see bashing of any one else. Homosexuality is a sin, it destroys lives. I could give you literally thousands of sources that show that homosexuals are more likely to engage in drug use, domestic violence, have multiple sex partners, are more prone to have and infect others with VD (specifically AIDS), that they tend to abuse children more frequently, and that if they felt that they could get away with it, they would round up ever Christian and have them killed. Facts and sources from their own writings and publications, from their own activists, as well as from secular sources like the CDC. Don't tell me that Christians are "bashing" homosexuals, when we are simply pointing out how destructive their lifestlyes are.

See the askers comments about me and then you decide who is the hypocrite when it comes to bashing? I've copied and pasted it from above:

"Airborne Saint" is the stupidest idiot I've known about in this forum, by far.
Sounds like I touched a nerve doesn't it... Truth hurts doesn't it...
But I can take the bashing and the hypocrisy, I've got broad shoulders.

God loves everyone. You can love a sinner without loving their sin. The only way to truly love a person is to hate their sin. God meant people to exist and he gave them the freedom to choose. True Christians do turn the other cheek. You don't hear about it because the world only wants to see what supports their hatred of them.

If you are referring to the Scriptures that are quoted from the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible, that is not bashing. It's truth. Whether you believe it or not, changes nothing.
Just because someone is attracted to someone of the same sex doesn't mean you have to act on it. It's called self-control.
If you choose not to use self control, that is your issue and not mine.
Children of God are people that accept His teachings and follow his commands. (See the Holy Bible for many Scriptures that cover this...)
This has nothing to do with cheek turning.
Perhaps you need to study the Holy Bible before "bashing" Christians and the teachings in which Jesus taught.

True Christians respect every living creature, because God teaches us through the bible to "love one another as I have loved you", that He created us ALL in His image and that we should "love thy neighbor". I think a lot of people get caught up in who's right or wrong and who's "going to Hell" for believing things contrary to what we've been taught. God is the one who will judge us, we are not here to decide anything about anyone, Gay, Straight, Jewish, Hindu, whatever. If you want people to behave in this way, you need to remind them of it and live it yourself. No one said it would be easy. Some will get it and some will condemn others, but God will decide in the end. Even though I'm Catholic, I do believe in Karma!

We are not all God's children. We become God's children when we trust Chist as our Savior. If you trust Christ as your Savior you love Him and want to please Him. The FAther, SOn and Holy Spirit are one in three, God repeatedly states that homosexuality is evil. So saying homosexuality is evil is just stating God's truth.
That said, gossip is sin, so is hatred, and a myriad of other things. If we are guilty in one point of law we are guilty of all the law. So, no one is "better" than another.
God will help us to overcome any sin, even homosexuality because He loves us. Some sins are so hard to overcome. We can't do it on our own. I struggle with my own sin issues- so does everyone here. Let us remember that GOd desires holiness from all of us! Let's hold each other up in prayer, that we can each overcome the sin that ensnares us.

This is horrible. You complain that Christians are bashing gay people, and then when a Christian gives you an answer you call him a "stupid idiot"
I think you are the one doing the bashing.
Grow up.

He intended for all of us to exist, just not in a homosexual atmosphere. Homosexuality is a sinful lifestyle choice, but the homosexual is one of God's children in need of salvation and redemption, not "bashing". We are to "love one another as Christ so loved the Church" like the Scripture says. Jesus only brough our sins to light; He didn't destroy us for them. That was His ultimate task, to be the mediator for our sins by His death on the Cross. Homosexuality was one of the sins nailed to that Cross, and Christians, while they mustn't tolerate homosexuality, MUST tolerate the homosexual if they want to see souls saved.
