Im trying to buy some silk screen i was told what to get in microns but fabric stores dont go by the same measurements.

You can't buy silk screen at a fabric store. I don't even know where you can buy silk screen anymore. The industry has switched to synthetic threads. Microns are the measurement of the thickness of the thread this helps control the amount of ink you apply in a pass. You still need to state the treads per inch you desire. In order to know what to tell you I would need to know your application or about the only idea I can give you is go to a local screen printing shop and explain what you are doing and see if they will sell you some material. Not all shops stretch their own screens so you may have to call around. This would be a lot cheaper than buying a bolt from a supplier as this material is not cheap.

i think you mean the distance from thread to thread is 150 microns? So in a millimetre there is 6.66 threadwidths. Since there is 25 mm in an inch there must be 25*6.66 = 166.66

That's a pretty fine thread!
