You have to remember it's their job, and if they cannot overtake at a given moment then it could take them 4 to 5 miles to get up to speed again. They can actually only do 60 mph unless it's an overseas lorry they sometimes don't have a limiter. Oh and just bear in mind the A1 is one of the most dangerous roads in Britain, especially where there is only 2 lanes. Happy motoring.

Well, whatever speed you care to drive at, a GOOD driver would allow a truck to pull out and overtake a slower moving one.
The difference in speed between a laden and unladen truck on the A1 can be as much as 25mph, with some of the longer hills around Grantham, Martson Moor or South Yorkshire.

it truly is a genius theory and that i do no longer comprehend why they do no longer do it! The kind of circumstances a foriegn lorry has in simple terms pulled out on me at a roundabout, and that i glance up on the window and there is not any sign of the driving force (as he's each and each of how over the different element) it truly isn't any ask your self that they pull out like that! do no longer comprehend approximately uk lorries going out of the country, yet there are such somewhat some roundabouts over right here, and thank you to the form of the ideas-set roads, there is not any way that the foriegn lorry drivers can good see. I used tochronic coaches for a living (i comprehend its no longer comparable to employing a lorry - yet your innovative and prescient is in simple terms as constrained and vehicle is in simple terms as problematic tochronic) and now and back, used to ought to stand up (with my foot on the snatch!) to attempt to make certain if i ought to pass, as i could no longer see to any extent further back than the front door window - nightmare! pass on dragon's den!!

What were you doing that makes you feel morally able to critisise another driver? Don't be so High and Mighty, you have no moral high ground here.
It was "pouring rain" and you were doing AT LEAST 70mph. !!!
You have confessed to breaking the law yourself on at least two counts.
People like you who seem to think that they have "God's Right to Drive Like Idiots" should be off the road. If there was someone else just as arrogant behind you then there would have a bloddy great pile up and someone could have been killed.
That doesn't excuse the lorry driver but Please don't be an impatient twerp yourself.

Try moving over to the outside lane and use the motorway correctly! They have speed limiters on them and cant go about 56mph and can only use two lanes. Life is hard, and very frustrating, for lorry drivers!

Sometimes its not their fault, the wagon in front of them could have slowed down suddenly and the only way they can stop from crashing into them is to pull into the next lane. Even though you are going faster than them do proceed with caution at all times because lorries can't stop as fast as what you can.

This is what we have to deal with on a DAILY basis

Lorry drivers are bad at this but not as infuriating as bus drivers who always pull out in front of you, the just signal and go! as if it's a god given right!
I agree with that "bubbly" girl Champagne!

I stay in the slow lane myself to avoid that kind of thing.
55mph = stay alive speed and get to your destination like 10 minutes after the speeders and save on fuel too. 70mph+ = dead in a crash.
