I've just had a question I set from yesterday removed. I questioned the neccessity of rituals and ceremony perfomred as part of organized religions. There were many interesting opinions and arguments put forward. Some people saw me as a non-believer. I don't mind that - it was part of the debate. I think people stood their ground well and I think I did too.

But, it's now been removed as someone (or maybe more) obviously didn't like what I had to say. That's having my opinion removed just because they can. It's nothing to do with the interesting points put forward and nothing to do with making a vallied point. My question was removed because it wasn't a question. Yes it was. I explained that I wanted to see what people thought of my opinions. I'm totally angry to the bone (yes that angry!!!!) that Yahoo enable people to wipe totally vallied opinions that we are completely entitled to because somebody doesn't agree. I feel like I've had my right to a voice taken away.

Yahoo really need to sort out this automatic violation thing. It's completely unfair.

Also, if you remember answering my question, if you don't mind, would you say that you did. I'd be interested to see who thinks this was wrong even if we didn't agree.

Rafaman: No, the main question is in the title. But, I've asked at least one other during my rant. LOL

I must have missed your question yesterday. It sounds interesting, and I would have liked the chance to answer it.

I dislike the report-happy individuals among us. The only time I report something is when it's blantantly against the Y!A TOS. And even then, it'd have to be a serious violation, not just because I disagree with the question.

The best compliment I ever got was when a friend told me that I belong to the "They'll know they've been cut when their heads fall off" debate team. I can defend my viewpoint quite nicely without whining and reporting questions that I don't agree with.

I didn't see your question but I totally agree with you. I thought this was the place where we could state our opinions and free will -obviously not. Yet there are other questions which are so offensive and crassly stupid yet they don't get taken off. Why? There was one mocking the death of Anna Nichole Smith the day after she died - it was in totally bad taste but was allowed to stay and be answered. I can understand you being so angry.

I disagree, regardless of if I do see lots of one among those posts you factor out. I absolutely haven't any problem with human beings sharing their evaluations; I absolutely percentage mine. If this bothers you and also you sense there must be extra non secular communicate, perhaps you should commence up extra with a number of those kinds of questions. only a idea...

Haven't you sort of just done the same thing, i.e write some thoughts without actually asking a question?

I agreed that the point of believing in God/Allah is to be a good person and to do only good things in His name.

I also said that we offer prayer to Allah as a way of giving praise and thanks to Him.

As-Salaamu Alaykum - Peace be upon you

Let's hope this one doesn't get deleted.
