and a real good vitamin/mineral supplement (I took two a day for a couple days)
I took it, it worked great
I think it made all the difference in the world for me.
everyone one around me was sick with the flu and I didn't get a shot this year, and somehow escaped when I started to feel like I was getting sick, by doing those things

Make sure he sleeps each night for 8 hours minimum. Somebody should sleep in a different bed until he's better.
make sure also he drinks some water after work every day and eats a salad.

Wow - 12 hours a day 7 days a week??????? HOLY SH!T!
Maybe you should try sleeping on a cot for a week or so. It would be the courteous thing to do if he works that much...

Well, I would try hot tea with lemon and honey in it. It works for me. Also, have him suck on a cough drop as he is going to sleep. that seems to help too/

get a shot of "Cacique" the best venezuelan rum into a cup, squeeze 2 lemons a little honey, do it twice a day 3 days... if you don't have access to cacique use other rum.
