The only thing is im having horrible pains in my stomach, its making like... gurgling noises. i heard someone mention something about digestion.. is it possible that just because im eating smaller portions im digesting faster or i dont know... but any suggestions? Im not going to the bathroom any more than usual tho. My stomach hurts a lot, i feel a little nauseous too. help thanks guys

If you're stomach is gurgling it means you're hungry. So, what you should do is: instead of eating less foods, eat more healthy foods. Dieting shouldn't be all bad. You should be eating like one less portion than there is on the food pyramid, of each category. Do you get what I'm saying? Exercise is important... very important... And if you don't have the food in your body, you won't have the fuel (energy) to do anything. Let me know how the dieting goes.

800-1000 calories is too little especially if you are also exercising. Life-style changing regiments that you intend to keep doing for the rest of your life is best. Try 1500 calories instead. You may feel hungry but not famished. Breaking your diet for a chocolate bar? You probably just upset your stomach. If hungry, eat an apple, eat two apples. Remember that since you are dieting, you need to consume good calories -- eat a large salad. Avoid calorie dense foods like carbohydrates (potatoes, pasta, rice, sweets, cakes or fats). Eat vegetables. Good luck.

Have you seen a nutritionist? They'd be able to give you the most accurate answer and also give you a good guideline to follow for your particular needs. At any rate, it sounds like you may not be getting enough calories (you didn't mention what your intake is) and your body is adjusting to not having larger amounts of food. Yes, you would digest a smaller portion faster as your tummy doesn't have to work too hard....If you're in a lot of pain, call your doctor and tell him/her what's going on....good luck to you.

Did you change the kinds of food you eat also? If you switched to lots of fresh fruit a veggies, you will likely have some stomach issues. In time, your system should adjust though.
Another thought is acid reflux - I have never had it so don't personally know the symptoms, but you could check that out on web md.
For the time being, try taking some tums or rolaids to see if that helps.

YOUR stomach is cramping because you are taking less in but it will eventually get used to less amount. But you could actually eat lots more if you want to but it has to be the right food.
E.G.large baked potato, tuna mayonaise, would be more calories than say,Small baked potato, 2 halves of pepper stuffed with, onion ,tomato, celery (any veg you like)roasted.(no cheese ).large salad mix, topped with small tin of just tuna, and 1 slice of wholemeal bread n low cal spread.you would be more content and have no hunger pangs.basically stick to lot of veg, lean meat (pref wihte)wholmeal bread (keep loo trips normal) use no butter, sauces, mayos, spreads, just simple home made healthy meals,3 a day and not after 6pm unless its a piece f fruit or a carrot ECT.youl feel fab after a few days.

Your body needs time to adjust to your new diet!!!It used to burn certain amout of calaries to keep up your energy. Now that the intake of calaries has been reduced, your body's trying to send out a "I-am-still-hungry" signal to get you to eat more....Maybe you should try slow down your diet plan and take a baby step one at a time.

it could be more water, more exercise (if you;re doing any, which I hope you are, otherwise you'll gain all the weight back when you off the diet), and less food, yes... however, it is short-term and will go away I am aure
just wait it out
it is worth losing the weight

It is normal to have some hunger pangs when dieting. They should go away soon. Also if you have increased roughage (more salad and veggies) that can cause gas pains.
