mailed off feb 5 why is it goin to take a month to get here

because it takes 3 weeks for them to process a paper return that is the normal time it takes

Next time use a free e-file through irs.gov. It is quick to do, and it walks you right through! I used to mail, but now I'm spoiled with e-file. Make sure that you keep the info from last year though, filing status and how much you got, so that you can sign electronically. Much quicker!

Hello,
It takes any where from 6 to 12 weeks to get your refund if you mailed it. I mailed mine on Jan. 25th and they say my refund is going to be mailed on Feb. 23rd. but it could take until March 23rd to get the check. go Figure...but if we owed the IRS they would be coming right after us for their money...

because you mailed it. e-filed returns always process faster.
