Red wine has a high concentration of antioxidants... the main one being resveratrol. This is mostly in the seeds and skins of grapes. Red wine is made with the seeds and skin, whereas white wine made by removing these before the wine-making process. The wine known to have the highest antioxidant content is Pinot Noir. One glass a day should do it!
Have fun and be healthy!

Red wine has so many benefits, especially for your cardiovascular system. It is also full of antioxidants. But the "glass a day" only applies to reds. My suggestion is to find a red that you enjoy. A pinot noir will be lighter, wheras ashiraz is much stronger. Also, try to find something that is reasonably priced. A glass of red wine a day can start to add up! $$$ Some of my favorite reds come from Yellow Tail (their blends are amazing) and Charles Shaw (available a Trader Joe's stroes) My personal favorite is the Yellow Tail Shiraz-Grenache. Try a few, find what you like and enjoy!

It's been said that Red Wines have benefits. It may have to with the Tannins in the wine.
Try a Cabernet Savignon from California.

I have been told by people in the business that Merlot is the best all-round wine that most people like and goes with any occasion. Personally, my favorite is Zinfandel.

Hoi, steph "cat's pee on a gooseberry bush its from australia".
That'll be New Zealand sauvignon blanc you're referring to. Grab a map, look south of the equator (ie, the lower bit). You'll see that NZ is actually a different country to Australia.

So they say, it counterracts the fats in meat and helps digestion....Red wine is the one that has that effect....
My suggestion - a Merlot. Not too harsh and not too sweet.
Cheers
