its not true, good things happen to those who are good with others but you still have to take care that you are recieving what you deserve in return, and not just being used. Selfless people usually get a raw deal, it's practical to be a little selfish. On top of everything there's this tiny glitch called fate, which seems to throw every shred of logic out and do whatever it wants....

Sometimes its true, sometimes its not, its really dependable on the situation, the time of wait too depend on the situation, lucky only comes once a while, if u got one, and u still waiting.. leave or forget the one there, coz waiting for something that not thre yet, thinking of good things happen.... then maybe it wont happen at all.

You sound like my daughter when she was five. We went to one of these places where you pay to go fishing-- a private pond kind of set-up. Well, we baited her hook and she was all over the place, running around to where she saw someone catching a fish, putting her hook and line in there for two minutes, then running somewhere else to try again. After about half an hour of this kind of frustration, she finally asked me what was going on. Why hadn't she caught a fish?
"You have to be patient to catch a fish," I told her.
So we picked a likely spot, re-baited her hook, and she threw it in and patiently watched the bobber. For fifteen minutes, peace and quiet reigned.
Then the signs of frustration began to reappear: she started squirming and fussing with the line, and casting discontented looks all around. Finally she threw the pole down, looked at me, and howled "MOMMY! I've been patient! WHERE'S MY FISH?"
Some good things do come to those who are patient, but life is like fishing: sometimes you catch the good things, sometimes you don't; but if you learn how to enjoy the waiting, it isn't a bad time. ;-))
(I hope you catch something good soon to reward your perseverance.)

It depends, some people call it hope :) ...waiting and being pacience and hoping that some day they will have their dream come true, and sometimes they get it. But it really depends on how you want to take it, beside, if you are saying that you're waiting and nothing happends, maybe its because your looking for the wrong thing :P...its like happiness... you will find it, as soon as you stop looking for it :)

Lol...but of course , you can only wait for something when you have worked and done your part ...then the next thing to do is to wait for the results of our hard work...

The meaning of this old adage is to exercise patience - and that if one does so, something good can happen, but if one 'jumps the gun' you may miss a golden opportunity.
Things happen in GOD'S time, not ours.

Mark Twain said, "Good things happen to those who wait . . . and don't die in the meantime."
