There is only one BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.

2007-02-22 04:18:28 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 2 1

God has only one BEGOTTEN son, we are all his children. He created us by creating Adam and Eve the first man and woman but Jesus Christ was God's only son of his flesh. It had to be that way for all our souls to be saved! John 3:16-17 for God so loved the world that he gave his only BEGOTTEN son that whosoever believeth in him should not perrish but have ever lasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

We are NOT all God's children.
Certainly you realize (thanks to this category) there are many who do not wish to have any kind of relationship with Him.
However, many do and that does not take away from the fact that Jesus is His son.
Jesus was the only individual to have been created by God alone.
"...by means of him (Jesus) all other things were created in the heavens and upon the earth." Colossians 1:16.
That would make us children of God, but Jesus a 'unique' son of God.

The word "Son" is used for our sake.We are children of Adam. When you are" born again",then you are adopted into the family of God with full rights.

Actually all children are God's is incorrect.
That is not said in the Bible.
I don't know who said it but it is untrue.

This is true:
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

If you have the Holy Spirit of God---
Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
Rom 8:17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.

And,
Rom 9:8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants.

And,
1 John 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:5 They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them.
1 John 4:6 We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

As to your question:
He had only one begotten Son.
He has many adopted son of witch I am one.

One physical "Only Begotton" divine Son.
Many, many spiritually begotton sons and daughters.
It's apples and oranges. Yes, both the apple and the orange are fruits, and they both grow on trees and are sweet, but that's about where the similarities end. So it is with Christ and us. We are all God's spiritual children, we all have physical bodies, and if we do what He tells us to we all have the opportunity to return to Him, but Christ is the only one who can say "God is My biological Father."

Yes we are all God's children. But Jesus is His only "begotten" Son, just like you are your parents begotten child

Jesus Christ is God's only begotten son. We are all sons and daughters by "adoption" so to speak.
