I disagree. I think the most commonly spoken lie in the world is, "I like that", or "Sure, that looks good on you." We say these things several times a day to our friends when we honestly don't mean it, we just don't want to hurt their feelings. Even though we say "I Love you" a lot, and don't mean it, we don't do it several times a day, more like several times a week.

But the biggest lie in the world has to be when you ask someone a question and they say "i do not know". That is not true because they do know something. Or when you say "what you up to?" and they reply "nothing"...............that annoys the hell out of me.

"You look good!" since we say that, or a variation on it, when we see so many people.
"I love you" is limited to when we mean it, or to those we want to REALLY manipulate.
I know what you mean, though--- I wish people didn't tell that particular lie. It can be so hurtful
