There are several.. Limited range, a loss in transfer speed..(with an average 802.11g router, you can lose 2 or more Mbps. in speed!!) Also without encription, others in your local area can use your service from your wireless router.

Coverage. As much as we try, we can't cover every square inch in RF and get uniform transmit/reception characteristics. Inside a building, around a corner, at the North Pole, areas where it's difficult to get coverage w/o having to install multiple RF sites.

your looking for Security because it's more of an issue with the wireless LAN since it transmits it's signals to anyone within range...Don't pay attention to the other dumb ***, this wasn't a stupid question!! He doesn't even know how to work a Wii!!!
