Do animals have sinful natures?

Sin is in the intention to do evil. It is not locked in one's DNA, but within a person's mind and soul. Animals cannot sin because they are not self-aware enough to realize the significance of their actions.

the question implies that in some way that the nature of "Sin" is genetic and can somehow be modified by means of genetic manipulation of an individuals genome. As far as i know there has never been a gene which has been isolated for sin nor do I think that this is possible. I think that Sin is a made man so that we can characterise mans own imperfections

No, animals do not have sinful natures, but man sure does, and i don't think any altering of dna is gonna change that.
