problem with running 3d games?

Question

I seccessfuly install 3d games like gta,max spain,NFS but when I double click on it's icon,nothing is displayed and no error comes
and my ram is 256MB which supports these games?I don't know what is the problem
but 2d games like Mario and all successfuly runs in my computer.
In my older computer with 128 MB of ram,NFS was successfuly running but in this computer with 256MB of RAM it displays NFS starting picture only for 5 seconds and suddenly dissapears and no error comes

What graphics card do you have, and does it support directX?

apart from different option awailable available I personally suggest you to increase ur ram to 512mb or check for viruses if problem still exists than I think there is something wrong with ur windows(if u r using one) try re-installing windows that should work mate
