im only comparing the plain kind, and not flavored.

well when it comes to the glycemic impact, the regualr slow cooked oatmeal is best . the instant is so processed that the carbs and sugars are more readily available for the body and the body will digest it quickly and store these carbs and sugars into fat. go all natural it's the best for you.

I use the quick - 1 minute of the regular oatmeal. I have heard that it has less sugar in it than the instant. You can make the regular in the microwave too.
I add brown sugar & milk to my oatmeal right before I eat it.

Instant is more ground up and probably a bit more rancid and has oxidized its vitamins a bit more. Some vitaminss tend to not like being exposed to air. Otherwise, it's all just oats.

double check the ingredients, but they shouldn't. the instant types are nice just because it's already portioned for you and helps with portion control.

I think even the plain ones are loaded with sugar. I'd go with regular...

There is alot of refined crap in the instant. Stay away from it.
