You have the question backwards. Why would humans create a god?

He didn't. All the Roman Gods, The Greek Gods, as well as the Christian God don't exist. The universe is what has always existed. If there are multiple universes, however, we may all be the result of some fifth grader's science project in a much larger universe. Think about it. Or it may have all been brought about by a Flying Spaghetti Monster!

God created us in His image....He loved us so much He sent His son to die for our sins so we could spend eternity with Him. The worship, adoration and praise comes out of our love for Him. It's not forced but given of our own free will because He first loved us.

There is no evidence anywhere that God created the human race. Scribblings made thousands of years ago by people who's every minute of life was controlled by superstitious signs and omens is not proof, not even skimpy evidence.

You forgot to explain why you think it is a sin.
He is God and can do as he pleases. In his heart there was love when he thought about creating us. He wanted a relationship with us, and that's why he made us. But he loved us so much that he gave us free will so that we could obey him only if we really wanted to, but it ends up some people dont even belive he exists.... even though we have his GREAT creation to prove it!

I'll have to check, but I don't think praising God is a sin. Just going out on a limb here. LOL.

God created us to display His holiness through all of creation. Through the creation of man God has the ability to show Love, Mercy, Justice, & Wrath that make up the holiness of God.
God shows justice by judging man for what man chooses to do. The justice demands punishment for sin we commit. God's wrath is displayed in this punishment for what we deserve (hell).
God shows his love and mercy by providing a sacrifice for sinful man. God does not delight in the perishing of the wicked, but sin must be punished. So Jesus Christ, the perfect Son of God, came down from heaven to take on the punishment that we deserve from our sin. In this way Jesus is the ultimate display of love by showing that while we were yet sinners God loved us, and chose to die for us. And any who believe in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Repent and trust in Him as your Savior.
Its not an easy thing to say or understand, but every single human being will be bringing glory to God. Either through his Justice and Wrath, or His Love and Mercy. I beg you today to come to your knees before Christ. Understand your sin before a holy God and receive Him as your Savior.

No because he's God and he's supposed to be worshipped. But he created us because he wanted friends.

I don't believe God wants us to bow down and worship it.
God created humans so it could experience itself and know itself.
So, essentially, we are God, experiencing itself.
How many thumbs down do I get for my belief?
