Pastor Billy says: Good Lord how is anyone expecting to find good answers will all this lot. Hell servant you still lookin for answers?
Purgatory is found in Judaism as well as Christianity although it isn't called purgatory. Check out Kaddish.
The great Protestant Evangelical CS Lewis believed in purgatory you can check that out.
Contrary to the claims and the wording of this question , there is no backdoor to hell from purgatory. By the way purgatory isn't even classified as a place put a state purification. For someone to be in purgatory means they are on the way to heaven.
For all those bible believers we will be assayed as in fire and suffer lose and yet be saved the good book reads don't you believe it? :D I like do that it's like giving that crowd some of their own medicine. (assumption of 1 biblical interpretative tradition)

The origins of purgatory can be found as far back as the Babylonian Talmud. The idea that one could transition from the void to Hell is contrary to the view presented in the relevant story/legend (specifically: the death of Abraham).
Basically, Abraham is to be given a tour of Heaven to convince him that it is truly his time to die. As Abraham and Archangel Michael are standing before the gate, Abraham notices a soul 'set amidst the mist'. Asking Michael what the deal is, Michael explains, "He was neither good enough for Heaven nor bad enough for Hell." Abraham says, "let us pray for this soul." So they do, they kneel and lower their heads. When they stand, Abraham notices the soul is gone, and inquires of Michael where it went. Michael reponds that the prayers were sufficient blessing to make the determination.
Since it would not be possible to remove what the soul had to keep it from Hell, only add to what it had to draw it towards Heaven, the only option would be the transition from 'the midst' to Heaven.

It makes no sense to torture a soul only mildly before sending it on to Hell for eternal torment. Of course, according to the Doctrine of Grace, it makes no sense to torture a soul that has been saved to purge it of sin when Jesus covers the sin. There is no Biblical evidence for Purgatory and was a Medieval construct to help the RC Church raise funds.

Purgatory is a coaching of the Catholic church. The Catholic church makes use of a Bible that consists of the apochrypha. The coaching of purgatory comes out of the apochrypha. As i replaced into no longer raised in the Catholic church i do no longer understand all this is taught approximately purgatory. What little i comprehend of the coaching of purgatory is this is a place the place human beings flow as quickly as they die and whilst they depart puragtory they the two flow to heaven or flow to hell. To me this looks to at as quickly as contradict what the Bible says through fact whilst Jesus replaced into on the bypass He instructed the thief on the bypass next to Him that he (the thief) could be in paradise that very day with Jesus. (Luke 23:39-40 3) Protestant church homes have not got this coaching of their doctrine through fact Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, etc church homes use the Bible that has in simple terms sixty six books. in case you follow the sixty six books and what Jesus taught as provided in the gospels absolutely everyone who does no longer obtain Him into their lives as their own Savior is forever separated from God for all eternity. (They finally end up in hell.)

I guess purgatory might be a judgement Hall whereby you are judged whether to go heaven or hell. To `purge' ourselves.

purgatory is like going to court to appeal a conviction... a tribunal for those headed for hell where you have the opportunity to mend fences and satisfy God so he can send you to heaven instead.
