well if you really trully have feelings for this guy. you should tell you mom and tell her it good but don't hurt her feelings or make her mad. just say "mom i really like this guy i am going out with. and if things don't work out i will do what you think i should do. cause i love you." that is what you should say it is easy, simple, and it won't hurt her feelings or making her mad. you both get what you want but dont let your mom control your whole life you are old enough to control it yourself.

This is a difficult topic for past generations. If you truly like and respect the guy you want to date (not trying to make mom mad) then the color of their skin does not matter. Make a point of letting your mother spend time with your boyfriend and maybe her attitude will change. She will see the qualities that you admire in these young men. Good luck!

Your mom can't control your feelings. Go out with the guy that is nice and the guy that you like. You are mixed so what kind of message is mom sending you? The color of a person's skin shouldn't be an issue. It's the inside that counts.

Staying within your race is recommended....Speaking from experience "African American Men" are hard to handle you can even ask any mature "African American Woman" she will tell you the same thing...Now keep in mind most races (full ethnicity) have a lot of "rules" , "laws" and most of them act a certain way and exspect whom ever their dating to do the same....So to answer your question finding an "All American White Boy" Will make your life easier in everyday living which will have nothing to do with your Mom or Dad or whoever you think will pass jugdement on you....life being easy is solely about you!!!

Your mom is wrong and you're right because you date to a person, his way of being not to his color.
I think you should date the guy you like and after introduce it to your mom and she sees he is a good guy but before this why don't you ask her why she feels like she feels about dating black people?

I was with a Jamaican woman for four years. Our families were perfectly fine with it. I suppose if they weren't I would have done it anyway. If you allow your mother's bigoted views to seep into your love life, then how much control are you surrendering to irrationality? Do what you want to do. She'll get over it. Good luck!

Explain to your mom that race doesn't matter to you. My parents used to be the same way, they didn't want me dating white boys (I'm Mexican) but they gave up. So maybe waiting will help but if not just wait till you're eighteen. Sorry about that :(

Just tell your mom I must have inherited my taste in men from you. Obsviously if you are mixed she didn't stick to white guys so just suggest that she passed down the hook up with "non-white - guys gene"

Ask her why she's like that and tell her that you really love the both of them and you don't want to lose either of them. maybe she's like that b/c she's been treated bad by African American guys so she's scared for you, so I suggest you sit down and talk to her, shes' your mother and I'm sure she loves you

i'm hispanic, and my parents have always wanted me to go out with someone from a latin upbringing, but in the 8 years ive been dating, for some reason i've always dated blonde hair, blue/green eyed white women. oh well, it's always up to you. dont let your parents tell you who to date.
