Since it's originally from India, go to a local ''Indian store'' and they have the powder. You just mix it with water, and apply. You get a lot at the Indian stores for just about $5. If you apply it, when it dries, put a mixture of lemon and sugar on it. Dab it on with a cotton ball or a Q-tip. It helps the color soak in longer.

www.henna.com
And that is actually a website. You could go to Dearborn and go to some of the arab stores. It really is easy to make henna paste. I've done it tons of times. The only tricky part is acually doing the design. You can go to yahoo.com and under web search type in henna designs and you can get all different types of designs. After you put on the henna and you notice it is coming off before you want to, all you do is take some warm water, a teaspoon of salt, and Q-tip. Put some water with the salt until it dissolves and stick a Q-tip in there and dab it over you henna. After 5 minutes wash it off. But you should reall try some arab stores they have the best stuff. it could range from 1.50 - 10.00 dollars.

Just Google 'henna tattoos' for a shopping site. "Mehndi" tattoo kits are not terribly expensive -- say $35 or so. There's plenty around. Have fun!
