Usually I mix a little relish and Miracle Whip or Mayo w/ the tuna.
Anyone have an idea to make it different?
~Thanks!

I make the best tuna fish on the planet:
1 or 2 cans of tuna, well drained
chopped celery
chopped onion
1 red delious apple, cored and chopped
1 hard boiled egg (optional)
relish, either sweet or dill, you're preference
squirt of cheap yellow mustard
miracle whip
Mix well, I also like lettuce on my sandwich, that's optional
Delious!!!

My sister and I went to a deli and lost it when I noticed the price of their tuna salad was almost 15 dollars a pound. We bought some just to try it and it was great. We talked to a person that worked there and found out the only thing different they did besides mayo and relish was add a little sugar and some dill weed. And use albacore tuna.

I "hate" Mayonnaise Tuna Fish Sandwich:

10 min 5 min prep
1-2 servings
1-2 sandwiches

6 ounces canned tuna
2-4 slices twelve-grain bread
butter or margarine
1-2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning

1. Drain tuna.
2. Toast 2-4 slices twelve grain bread (2 if you want a BIG sandwich, 4 if you want to share).
3. Butter toast.
4. Mix tuna with olive oil (I admit - I just pour so measurements are "guesstimated") and 1/2 teaspoon (again - I just give a few shakes) of lemon pepper salt.
5. If you like you may make mixture in advance or overnight to allow the flavors to blend (just remember to refrigerate if you make in advance).
6. At this point if you like chopped celery or whatever you normally add to your tuna sandwich - go for it -- Hey you can use this as a base idea and go from here - I won't take offense if you "tweak" the recipe.
7. Enjoy.
8. (Note: You might be asking, "Why not just buy tuna packed in oil?" - Cuz adding olive oil is healthier and more flavorful and plus YOU determine how much oil goes in).

Try mixing in a couple tablespoons of chopped Italian olive salad mix instead of relish. This is my favorite tuna salad since I don't like mayo and you can mix in very little mayo and it will still be spreadable.

I also like adding tiny capers to my tuna salad at times.

I mix a bit of mayo into the tuna and sprinkle it with black pepper and eat it on triscuit crackers rather than bread. The tuna mix makes the bread soggy but the crackers stay nice and crunchy. The crunchy crackers also takes the place of the potato chips on the side. Can also chop a bit fo fresh tomato into the tuna salad.

My sister doesn't like mayo so she always has tuna with seafood sauce.

What about just making the texture different by just adding lettuce, unlike tomatoes and cucumbers it does not make your bread soggy!
