My boyfriend and I have been together for almost four years. We have a one year old son together. I think we are ready to get married and our relationship is a wonderful one. How can I pop the quetion to him sense they don't exactly make diamond rings for men.

If he wanted to marry you, he would have asked you two years ago. He would have asked you before you got pregnant. He would have asked you after learning you were carrying his child. He would have asked you before giving birth. He would have asked you after his child was born. He would have asked you sometime during your child's first birthday.
I don't think he wants to marry you.

Depending on the state you live in, you might already be considered married by common law. Now think on the other hand, a lot of men will change drastically when they get legally married. Some kind of an ingrown fear we have, about the "til death do us part" thing. Simply talk the situation over with him in a non-committal fashion, and see what he says. Then you can decide which way to turn.

If you want to do it with a ring, buy him a nice dress ring, there is certainly a large selection of men's rings to choose from these days. Otherwise, have a nice romantic dinner and tell him that you'd love to marry him after all you have shared and would like to continue to share with him.

It is not that hard and you don't really have to have a ring just to propose....Many woman porpose I didnt propose to my husband however i hinted it to him and soon after that he asked me and my mother asked my father to marry her...Maybe set up a romantic night out and pop the question or make him a great dinner ect and ask him.....

Men LOVE diamonds. They just don't admit it as much. If you want to propose with an engagement ring. you could buy this:

I would wait for him to do it. I don't know him but I know most men like to be the one asking not the ones being asked. It would turn me off if I was a man and a women asked me to marry him. I think you should talk to him and let him know you would like to be married and then just wait and see. good luck.

I think it's tacky. Why buy the cow when he's got the milk and everything else for free? If he wanted to marry you he would have asked already..unless....he's really not marriage material.

You don't propose, you ask to be proposed to is the way to do this. You are striking at a man's core if you propose..
