While you might be incorrect, people show their feelings well before they voice them. If your boyfriend is thinking about breaking up with you, he has already shown that to you in his eyes and affections.
You can either wait for it to happen or ask him if something is bothering him. There might be an issue that you can work out, but he does not realize that or it might just put him on the spot and get him to tell you how he feels.

Ask him. Point blank. Remember that it's a simple Yes or No question and that you shouldn't be confused after he's answered. He may try to turn it back on you or answer your question with a question. These are all common avoidance techniques. If his immediate answer is anything but a "NO WAY DO I WANT TO BREAK UP WITH YOU!", I'd consider his response a big fat YES and I'd be out of there so fast that his head would spin.

If you think he does. Is because he is not treating you the same. That's a sign that he is not interested any more. Does he calls you often? Does he try to end conversations quickly? Does he avoid your phone calls? Why don't you take a break from him? Is not worth the time to hold on to someone who does not loves you like you deserve.

Don't listen to what everyone else is telling you. If he wants to break up with you there isn't much you can do about. I mean, did he tell you he wants to break up with you...? If you think that you might as well ask him.

You can tell if he starts acting different around you. If he doesn't call you or if he starts breaking off plans you've made then you break up with him. Break up with him before he breaks up with you.

Sometimes they act different. They seem distant and don't want to spend as much time with you, as if almost to "wean" you or themself from you.
You know what you should do is try making plans for something in the future, like something in a few weeks or in a month. See what his reaction is. Cuz if he doesn't have plans to be with you much longer his response may be a bit shaky.

Don't just sit around and guess. Just tell him what you are thinking and why. Its better to know. For two reasons First if he tells you no. Then you will know and cango on with your relationship. If he tells you yes, then you can go on with your life,even though you will be hurt it is best to know.

He is acting abnormal, distant, using work as his excuse, un-responsive to your advances are all good signs, also the biggest sign is if he has brought the idea up, maybe even joked about it.
