should they not be delighted to hear they have a terminal disease?
Why would they bother eating well and being healthy if its only prolonging their wait? Why undergo medical treatment at all?
I suspect most who claim belief in heaven have serious doubts.

You wont get any true answer. I think most of them would want to die..if I knew for a fact I was going to heaven why would I want to live this meager life on earth?

The Bible says that our bodies are like temples and we should treat them as such. God gave us all gifts and talents to use for His glory. Specialists have been given medical wisdom and knowledge to unselfishly help others, and if they are in God's will then they desire to do everything they can so that no one has to suffer a prolonged death. If you are saved and believe without a shadow of a doubt in the gift of healing and it's God's will--you most certainly can be healed, if you fervently pray and have faith. I've seen lots of people healed from terminal diseases and they gave God all the glory---not man. Just because we might be sick, doesn't mean we don't believe there's not a heaven--we don't want to leave our loved ones too soon --especially if they are not saved.

maybe they are thinking about the sadness/loneliness which will be felt by those they leave behind. in THE HOLY BIBLE death is referred to as sleep. Matthew chapter nine verse 24, Mark chapter 5 verse 39, Luke chapter 8 verse 52 and John chapter 11 verse 11.
so you would be correct in saying that it is nothing to fear....
however no one wishes to endure the pain which is normally associated with terminal diseases. and if you don't eat well and be healthy you will suffer more during your wait, even if you do shorten it somewhat. and again NO ONE truly enjoys pain. as for the serious doubts you mentioned... i think most of us doubt that we have been good enough, done enough, ... we wonder if we've really confessed and forsaken all of ours sins... not that heaven actually exists.

You'd be wrong too.

The delight we have in Heaven is because we love our Father. We are anxious to see Him, but first we have a mission to serve others. Not to mention the whole fact that the Bible says to take care of out bodies.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

While I am eager for Heaven I am not eager to leave behind those I love even though I know some of them will meet me there. I also don't relish a terminal disease because of the suffering I will have to endure while going through it.

A lot of people do have serious doubts, even those who profess to being a Christian. All humans have an inner fear of the unknown whether good or bad, don't you think?

Because God does talk about the responsibility we have of taking good care of our physical body. Our body is a temple, and we will give account of what we did (or didnt do) to take care of it.
Another thing, when people have diseases, they go thru pain, and no one likes pain. We're humans and we hurt. Plus we hurt inside when we see our loved hurting because of what we have. Its not that people dont want to go to heaven... They just fear the illness itself (the pain) and the family's reaction.
Read the bible.

Yep, your doubts are right. If someone really believes they are going to heaven, what worry is there in dying?

You obviously have a mind, so I would like to talk with you.
