It could mean a pituitary tumor, but, most are non-cancerous. There are also other ways the pituitary can become damaged. The best way to diagnose is to have a pituitary mri. A brain mri is not detailed enough.

Tumors of the pituitary gland (which sits just under the brain) can secrete prolactin but there are other causes of high prolactin levels.
