I've always known it to be "The year of our Lord" which is AD...or ano domani.

What gives? Is this another atheistic acronym invented for this Yahoo Answers board?

It is just another way of removing Jesus Christ from our society. It's heathenism and all the heathens are going to hell unless they repent.

it was developed quite a while ago. It is simply a religiously neutral way of referring to the years of the Gregorian calender.

so relax no one is taking your Jesus away.

C.E. is Common Era
B.C.E. is Before Common Era

The actual years have not changed, just the way we refer to them as to be more politically correct.

It's Common Era. "Common Era" and "BCE" - "Before the Common Era" is a more accurate manner to note dates. Most of the world does not relate to "Before Christ" and "Anno Domini".

No. CE is widely accepted.

AD is some nonsense Christians made up while they were conquering the world.
