The best way to honor your grandmother is to use her name as she used it. Don't go changing the spelling or anything like that because it just devalues the intent. If you are not comfortable using Margaret as her first name, use it for the middle. This is what I did with my children. My daughter's middle name is Mary after my mother, and my son's middle name is Donald after my father.

I knew a girl named Margaret and she went by Molly. Molly Elle is way cute.

My sisters name is Margaret and she goes by Marghee, which is pronounced Mar-GEE, rather than Mar-JEE. She was named after our deceased aunt. I have never heard of another name like hers.
