has your skin become more sensitive?
Have you ever had a reaction from them later, even though you've had them prior?

I have several but one of mine every once in a while will itch and the whole tattoo will become raised. It's kinda weird but not noticeable to others.

I have 5 so far. I got the first two 6 years ago and the others with in the last 3 years. I have not had any sensitivity, but every now and then the tattooed skin will raise up a bit, but there is no discomfort or any other reaction......

It is theoretically possible to develop an allergic reaction to anything, at any time, even if you've been exposed to it for long periods in the past. Peanuts, pineapples, bee stings... anything. So some people can go on to develop a reaction to their tattoo, a long time after having it done, although it's very rare.

Apparently it's also more common for people with tattoos to experience a bad reaction to hair dye (although more common doesn't mean that it is common, just that there's a statistically higher rate than in the general population) - so it's a good idea to do a patch test on your skin before dyeing your hair if you have tattoos.

I do sometimes find that, for instance on hot days, my tattoos will become slightly raised to the touch (although you wouldn't know to look at them). Other than that I've never had any problem, and I do suffer from quite a lot of skin allergies generally (I always have done; they're nothing to do with the tattoos!)

Hope this helps!

no. i got my first tattoo in 1999 and i started getting tattoos again in 2006. my skin is no more sensitive nor is it having any reactions. tho a lot of people are asking about that on here. i wonder if it has something to do with the quality of the ink?

more sensitive? I don't think so. reactions, yes. the last tattoo I got was from the same guy that did 6 of my other tattoos. same ink, same artist, same everything, but I broke out during the healing process. don't know why, I just did. so now I have to have my tattoo fixed because a lot of the ink came out and it looks crappy.
