MG Rover out-sourced the supply of spare parts to a company called XPart. XPart is owned by Caterpillar Logistics, and is still in business. It has either maintained the original sources or developed new sources for all parts for all recent MG and Rover models, plus many older ones. They will continue to provide parts for as long as there are enough cars on the roads needing parts to keep the operation profitable (at least 10 more years, probably many more).
The parts are available through many local motor factors, and many former MG-Rover dealers.
XPart have also committed to supporting a number of service outlets (mostly former MG-Rover dealers), so servicing is not a problem either.

There are places that still stock rover parts around the midlands area. I think i heard something about a China based company still producing parts as well.
My advice would be not to touch rover, the spares are not gonna last for ever and the resale price of a rover can't be much,
even in good condition. If you really want this car don't pay alot for it.

Rimmer Bros in Lincoln are a huge mail order outfit normally deals in Classic Triumph cars have bought up HUGE stocks of MG/Rover spares, you can find them on the web.
The new version of the 75 is to begin production in April and will be sold in the UK through a dealer network so you WILL be able to purchase parts direct over the counter soon.
Buy the car, they are engineered by BMW and will last forever!

You are able to buy Rover spares for the next 10 years. That is a condition of all car manufacturers. Even if they stop producing certain models.
