what a wonderful memory. one of many, i'm sure. i have so many of my mom and sister, both are passed. i love remembering our shopping trips, how my mom taught my kids about butter and sugar sandwiches (bad for you but a fun snack), how they both loved my boys so much. it's hard to pin point just one. god, i miss them, desperately.

I lost my grandmother a few years ago and she was the most special person in my life. The fondest momories I have of her is when my grandparents lived in a farm house and I would stay with them and I would wake up to the smell of fresh coffee and breakfast every morning and then I would get to spend the entire day with my grandma doing the same thing that she did. She always cooked for the farm hands and she cooked everything from scratch. I got to test everything like biscuit dough, cake batter and all the things that I didn't have at my house. Going with my grandma out to gather eggs at the chicken house, going to the garden, things that were considered work was fun to me as long as I was with my grandma. I really miss her still today.

My grandmother lived in santa barbara, California in a two story condo. My father, my sister and i would drove down one year, I was about 6 or 7 years old at the time. When we got there my grandmother gave us big hugs and we would play the piano and sing songs, and play board games. The one thing I remember still to this day was at bed time she would sing us a bed time song called "The good ship lollipop". I remember her voice when she sang, the big smile she always had and the hugs afterward with a kiss goodnight on our foreheads. She passed away when i was 9 or so. I still miss her and look up to the heavens from time to time..I know she is singing for me and watching me. She was and is a wonderful person and always made me feel loved and happy.

My mother passed away when I was 16 I'm 22 now. One of my favorite memory of my mother is she used to put "oldies" music on (60's and 70's) in the car and if I was sad or just not in a good mood she'd sing and grab my hand and move it around like I was dancing! Probably not the best idea to do while driving but that's how she was and she always got us laughing.

I was supposed to spend the night with her but instead I had decided to go across the street to my best friends house & spend the night over there, well anyway as I was walking out the door she said to me "I love you" and the was the last words she ever spoke to me.Like you,I miss her so very much!

I have half my family in south florida. On the spur of the moment one after noon, i took a week off and drove down to surprise my best sis secretly. i parked one street over from her house, called her to see what she was up to, and she said "oh my day has been bad. parents are arguing, school is snowballing and it just can't get worse. i plan on swimming alone or something." I started driving down her street and as I pulled up into the culdesac I honked my horn loudly till she ran outside. She fell over crying and laughing so hard, flinging the phone from her hands. She tackled me in my ride, and we hugged nonstop. I was glad to have surprised her so good and to have been there for her on such a bad day

WELL, one of my most beautiful memory is of my EX-wife, when I used to make her lie down, with her head resting in my lap while we sat watching TV on our sofa. She would turn around to face the TV and I would caress her soft, silky hair until she invariably dozed off into a deep sleep in my lap. I would let her sleep like this for a couple of hours and sometimes didn't have the heart to wake her up and would doze off to sleep myself - sitting up !!!

My aunt Ginger and I used to knit together and watch tennis. Most people wouldn't expect that of either of us in a MILLION years, but we really, really liked it.
