Go for insulated (double layer) curtains they work the best for muffling noises.

Thick shades that fit your window well are usually the best insulators. I found a link somewhere, I think at blindfinder.com that had a bunch of information on the insulative properties of all different types of window treatments. You might take a look at that. Good luck.

I wish that I could tell you, "yes", but, in reality, there are no blinds that insulates against outside noises. If there were, I'd be the first to buy them. So Sorry.

We have vinyl vertical louver blinds from home depot. I really like them alot and they`re room darkening too!
