I asked her what are her favorite color, food, restaurant, movie, book, etc. in an email. She responded with the answers which I was suprised cause it was kind of a joke. Now, she wants to know my own favorites. Why?

She is engaging you in conversation and since you showed interest in her favorites she is showing interest in your favorites. Why would you think she would think it was a joke? That is a bizarre thing to think. Of course she would think it was serious. Why wouldn't she? She thinks you want to get to know her better and are interested in her as a person which is nice. I would be offended if a guy asked me that and then later said it was a joke. Answer her back if you love her.

You asked her personal questions..which she views as being interested in getting to know her personally.
She is doing the same. She wants to get to know you better and on a personal level.
Not that difficult to understand!

She is not thinking it is a joke. she gave you her answers because she cared about telling you.
She now wants to find out more about you. Tell her.

it is one way to get to know each other. she probley wants to learn more about you and why would't see ask it back.
