Face it, America is at war for economic supremecy.

So naturally we do what we can to eliminate competition by "Building Democracy" in oil rich nations such as Iraq.

Iran is very outspoken about the United States foreign policy. They have there hands in Hezbollah.

This is the real threat of Iran, not WMD's.

It is the fact that current government in Iran is not happy with the United States and will more than likely disrupt America's pupeteering in the region.

Geographically we have Iran boxed in. Our troops are entrenched in Afghanistan and Iraq, additionlally we are working closely with Pakistan in fighting terrorists.

So regardless of the fact that Iran may or may not have Nuclear weapons and the fact that Iran is taking part in the chaos in Iraq, the true threat is that Iran will more than likely complicate U.S. affairs in the region.

When will the U.S. Government realize that bloodshed is not the best tool to achieve suppremcy?

Anybody else believe that the United States government is trying to cover up the true threat of Iran?

Our troops have my full support and I do recognize the threat of terrorists. I also beleive that reckless deployment of our Armed Forces is not the best way to support them.

My best hope is that rather than trying to win the war militarily, the next adminsitration will choose people who favor negotiations as the weapon of choice.
Those who instigated this war in Iraq in the first place now believe we can only win by killing the insurgents. The Project for a New American Century wrote, "Politics cannot solve what ails Iraq now. It can help, and certainly the constitution is an important step in that direction. But at the end of the day, it's only when the so-called dead-enders are either dead or vanquished that one can count on the political process moving decisively forward as most Iraqis desire".

My view is that only when these "dead enders" in the current administration are dead or vanquished, can we find other tools to achieve supremacy.

I include a link that shows that peace is possible with the right kind of people in our government. It's a story about a man who worked for peace and helped to achieve it.

Iran does have nuclear weapons and is given the technology from China. First our troops should be given absolute amnesty and we need to stop showing compassion for the enemy or any of the Iraq people. Second there are two ways to deal with Iran. Withdraw from Iraq leaving the Sunnis in powers.
Iran being a shi'ite nation will go to war with Iraq thinking they are in for an easy war.
Iraq sunnis throughout history have been very successful against Iran.
A stalemate occurs and iran uses a lot of its man power and resources combating the Sunnis.
This takes the United States out as the common enemy with both Sunnis and Shi'tes fighting each other more ferociusly.
Then the USA goes into Iran and overthrows the government cause the political instability to Iran
This halts the development of nuclear weapons in Iran.
All oil refineries in Iran should be destroyed so Iran must concentrate on the rebuilding of it infrastructure.
The other idea is to do the same without the Iran vs. Iraq war

Personally, I don't care anymore about this nation. It will go to hell in a handbasket. It is lost and has no hope. It's sense of freedom has changed and will get worse...and people will eventually end up believing "slavery" is freedom. The morals and reason of Americans is dissappearing.

I do not recognize the threat of terrorist because just one common disease kill more people in a year than terrorism could accomplish in a lifetime (yet the government is spending near to trillions on something that's not economically sound).

Terrorism has increased because of US greater involvement in the middle east. There is no denying that.

The true terrorist threat to the US is the loss of freedoms and natural rights...but it will be too late for Americans to figure this out.

SO I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS. THE FASTER THE WORLD ENDS..THE BETTER!

Do not even think that I side with terrorists because I don't believe in killing someone to acomplish any agenda. My fellow human beings are my brothers and sisters.

Try convincing the survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that Iran, or any other country that is pursuing development of nuclear weapons is not a threat. The conflict between Iran and the West, most notably the United States, is a war of principalities. Iran's Theocracy is intolerant of any nation who practices a religion other than their flavor of Islam. The US is targeted because they are the largest obstacle to the diabolical plans of world domination by so-called "radical Islam."

Lastly, I chant "Death to Iran. God is Great!" every night before I sleep for taking our 52 American Hostages in 1979, for 444 days, as well as all the suffering they have caused in the name of their phony religion (Piss be upon them). The best tool we have is the promise of a preemptive barrage of MX ICBM missiles targeting all their major cities and precision strikes with laser guided missiles at all Iran's communications and government installations, if they don't cease and desist immediately.

I feel sad that some people have no consideration for the people of other countries and all they boost about is their power of distruction. Live and let live. I think the west should just pay for their energy and stop creating so much hoha about nothing. Everyone knows that Iran has only developed the science for neuclear energy and it is the west which has all th distructive weapons. There is enough for all of us on earht and we need to respect our different culture asnd enjoy each other instead of being so negative. Visit Iran and find out for yourself how wonderful Iranians are.

I agree. Not that I know so much about Iran, but I definitely feel that our troops are being deployed recklessly. I was in Iraq for a year, and couldn't believe how things were being handled over there...I can only imagine what would happen with Iran. I think we should shift our focus to our own economy. God knows it needs rebuilding.

Iran can stop trading oil for US dollars and only accept euros. That would pose a threat to the US because we'd have to exchange our currency, which is losing value.
