2 sticks to a cup.

A cup weighs different amounts according to what you put in it.
If you put something dense and heavy, like flour for example it will weigh more than if you put something like say cornflakes.

butter is 4 ounces, a cup is a volume, not weight, measure--a cup of feathers weighs ALOT less than a cup of sugar!

it depends...a cup of what? if it was a cup of nuts, it would be heavier than a cup of sugar. i dont know about the butter. i don't understand why u need to know.
