Yes. It's a complex carb and breaks down slower, so you don't get big insulin spikes. A serving is 1/2 a cup to 1 cup

Is anything healthy for you anymore? I'm sure it's just as healthy as white rice. They say don't eat white flour, sugar or rice but now artificial sweetners are not good for you either. Eggs were bad for you, but now they are not, etc. etc. It's crazy. We have a doctor here that went on a low carb diet and has been sick ever since. He will not admit that it's his diet. He never had colds, the flu, etc. but now he catches everything. We have thin people here with high cholesterol who work out all the time and heavy people who don't go to the gym and don't watch what they eat that have good blood pressure and cholesterol. Go figure.

Yes, Brown rice is not processed as much as white rice and has fiber to help slow the release of the sugar into the bloodstream, but should still be eaten in moderation. White rice shouldn't be eaten at all.

Yes, brown rice is much healthier than white rice. Most of the nutriance in rice in in that shell around it that makes it brown, white rice ahs had that removed.

And what do carbs have to do with it? Carbohidrates are good for you and NEED to be in your diet.

Complex carbs are healthy. Think of it like your body having to work for the digestion and nutrition instead of having everything processed and already digested before you eat it. Check out the glycemic index.

brown rice is good for you. but the carbs that it contains are the good carbs. what ppl fail to realize because that DIET there are good carbohydrates out there and those are the ones that fuel our bodies like gas in a car. they supply our bodies with the energy we need everyday to do things we need to do. so if you are on an exercise regimon take in enough carbohydrates to fuel yourself PLEASE
