I tend to agree with you to a certain degree:

Believe in your heart for its the only part of you that has to answer to your brain if it feels right happens to be wrong. Moreover, our conscience will give us cues as to whether what we are doing is benevolent or harmful...

If you believe in anything "external" and something goes "wrong", the external "being" would NEVER say " yeah its my fault".... there is always an excuse why such a grand omnipotent power failed... isnt it?

Any "reason" is an excuse for any being that claims to be Failure-less, Flaw-less, Fear-less... but why is it that they never concede and say yeah I did it?

First, a correction. Jews seldom try to push their religion down other people's throats. Christianity and Islam are aggressive proselytizing religons. Religions with more class than that, such as Judaism and Buddhism and Confucianism, do not push their beliefs on others or try to make converts. The early Christians learned the idea of proselytism from their forebear, Persian Zoroastrianism, apparently through the Essenes.

But why do such people try so hard to push their dogmas on others? The reason is that they are not really sure, deep down inside, that what they profess to believe is actually true. A person insecure in his convictions can reinforce his identification with what he claims to believe, by teaching and preaching it. a person who is secure in the knowledge that his convictions are founded on facts doesn't go around trying to force others to believe in him. Scientists are investigators, not preachers.

An example of this self-reassurance process is in Scientology. The supernatural claims Scientologists adhere to are seriously weird, but they strengthen their own commitment to believe it by their aggressively recruiting all the suckers who come within range. Just doing that helps convince them that they must be right, oh yes, this couldn't be wrong.

Another motivation for religious fanaticism is that it can be a route to power and money. View the film "Elmer Gantry." Look at Pat ("the mouth") Robertson - he says some really crazy things but there is a vast pool of stupidity in America's Bible Belt and people keep sending him money even when they can't pay the rent.

As somebody (Mencken?) said, nobody ever went broke by underestimating the intelligence of the American people.

A Proposed Charter of Muslim Understanding
By Sam Solomon
Foreword by Gerard Batten
UK Independence Party
Member of the European Parliament for London
December 2006

Article 9

We the signatories request all Islamic institutions and all of its
associates, affiliations and outlets in co-operation with the
signatories to this Charter:

a) To discard all texts that discriminate with impunity against
Christians and Jews by describing them as Kaffirs,
apostates, polytheists, the children of apes, and swine, and
prohibit any inciting, insulting, and all discriminatory
references based on their religion

b) To abandon the practice of Takffir (infidel) against
anybody, be that a Muslim or a non-Muslim. (Once a
Muslim leader declares anyone as such, it is for the faithful
ones to see that person eliminated.)

c) To prohibit and abolish the practice of Takkiya (Islamic
doctrine of legitimate lying and deception of others) to
advance the cause of Muslims and Islam.

This insulting, inciting, discrimination, and deception is not to be
upheld or practised.

Here is a good, peaceful, British man trying to get the violent, fundamentalist Islamanazis to moderate their self-destructive behaviors, and they aren't having any of it. What Mr. Solomon still hasn't accepted is that FANATICS of ANY flavor CANNOT be negotiated with--they are ideologically incapable of adjustment to a changing world--that's what makes them fanatics! THEY WILL NEVER STOP! They are locked into their course of action. Islamunists kill people who try to convert to another religion and philosophy.

Not ONE Islamic nation's government supports this peace proposal!! They don't want it. They want world homogeneity, as defined by them, and brought about by reprehensible actions in the name of 'religion'. This is EVIL!

They have been deceived by their preachers, their leaders, to believe they will be saving someone. ALL religion are cults, and I don't care what anyone else says, it is a reasonable FACT. Every religion uses deception, to make another think, and feel the way they do, by their own interpretation, of what a book says, that is written by others. There is no fact in any religion, just simple belief. It is up to God, Christ, or Mohammad to save a soul, depending on who you believe in, not a mere person, and their blind faith.

You are absolutely wrong about science ( evolution ) being forced upon us.

Christians have NO problem with evolution being taught as the THEORY that is ( Scientist admit this readily) But we do feel that different beiefs and/or perspectives should be offered as well

Evolutionists on the other hand are scared to death of any other theories. They fight tooth and nail to keep ALL other ideas out of the classroom

Tell me , why do they fear us so much??

Because the "faithful" tend to suffer from a total and utter lack of faith..so to mask this they claim stories from thousands of years ago are literally true yet dispute proven facts..then they still feel no faith so they drag as many people as they can into their club since that must prove they have faith.

In general it tends to be that person trying to fool God into thinking they believe when everyone knows they have no faith at all.....since if they did they would not such an ****ole about it

maximum elementary preacher won't make extravagant grants approximately psychological and actual therapeutic (in spite of the reality that some televangalists do). Believing in the theory of 'god' won't shop you (in christianity besides). in simple terms theory i might sparkling that up. The medical community hasn't precisely behaved in a good far extra than the previous one hundred years. They continuously substitute what they provide theory to 'data'. improve new theories, do away with previous ones, and alter already latest ones. If christians behaved like this it might infrequently be an unchanging faith from the unchanging God. human beings flow to church homes to study approximately God. in simple terms as we flow to universities to study approximately technological know-how. the previous semester i had chemical kinetics rammed down my throat besides as evolutionary theory. Christianity is open for debate. some debate Jesus under no circumstances existed, some debate he replaced into married and youngsters, and a few debate he replaced right into a reliable guy. Over 1000 years of open debate and hypothesis has no longer debunked christianity. this might make it an exceptionally physically powerful theory certainly. motives why christians share what they suspect (each in specific situations in a questionable way) is using the fact they are commanded by potential of their Jesus to realize this. think of of it this style. From the outcomes that their theory has, they are forced to share it in in spite of way a threat.

Funny how you must know some weird people. I am a Christian and hardly ever bring the subject up. I know many Christians and for most of them I could not tell you what religion they are.

We do however live in a Christian nation. Our calender, our holidays, our money, our courts, our oaths of office, and most everything in our system reflect that fact.

Try not to get too mad at us.

Look at it from our perspective (btw I'm speaking as a Christian just to be clear): We have found something that we believe to be true, and it has made us very very happy. We want to share that with everyone else so they can be happy too. I know some of us sometimes get over-excited and start pushing our beliefs too hard, but our intentions were good. The next time someone pushes their beliefs down your throat just kindly tell them your not ready to hear it; usually they'll back down with that.

First of all, let me just say that I don't think that they should either.

But they think that they have a good reason.

Some Christians specifically believe that it is their job to teach you how to save yourself. Others, especially if they like, might just think that they should share something that's meaningful to them, in hopes it also resonates with you.

That said, the world would be a more peaceful place if we could all just accept eachother as we are!
